About Crown School of Motoring

The driving school was set up 17 years ago after spending a year with a franchised company. This gave me an opportunity to put a personal touch to teaching people the valuable skills that are required to be able to drive safely and pass their driving test. My Driving School is based in Louth Lincolnshire and we give driving lessons within a 6 mile radius of the town. The manual tuition vehicle used is a new shape Ford Fiesta ST Line 1.0 litre turbo mild hybrid petrol. The car has a 6 speed Manual gearbox.

The new Automatic car is a Ford Puma ST Line1.0 litre turbo mild hybrid, with a 6 speed Automatic gearbox.

About the Driving Instructor

I passed my initial driving test 42 years ago and have driven many different types of vehicles since.

25 years ago I took the RoSPA advanced driving test and achieved a Silver Grade on my first attempt. In the last 6 refresher tests, I received Gold grade status which is the highest you can achieve for that particular test.

Besides driving, I am also a keen motorcyclist and spend my spare time riding either in this country or  taking my bike over to Europe.

In general I have a passion for driving/riding and in my lessons, pass on my wealth of knowledge/experience to pupils during their lessons.

Current Driving Test Stats for Crown School of Motoring

In the the last 140 tests which were passes, the percentage of first time passes

currently stands at 76%. The average number of driving faults occuring during

  each of those 140 tests  stands at 3.80.  ( you are allowed up to 15 minor faults ).
