About Crown School of Motoring

The driving school was set up 5 years ago after spending a year with a franchised company. This gave me an opportunity to put a personal touch to teaching people the skills that are required to be able to drive safely and pass their driving test. We are based in Louth, Lincolnshire and give driving lessons within a 16 mile radius of the town. The tuition vehicle used is a new shape Ford Fiesta diesel.

About your Instructor

I passed my initial driving test 29 years ago and have driven many types of vehicles since. 12 years ago I took the RoSPA advanced driving test and in the last 4 refresher tests, received Gold grade status which is the highest you can achieve for that particular test. Besides driving I am also a keen biker riding several thousand miles a year , touring either in this country or Europe. In general I have a passion for driving/riding and pass on my wealth of experience to my pupils during their lessons.

There are many driving schools out there so why choose Crown ?. Firstly you will always get 1 to 1 tuition. No one sat in the back with you driving them home after their driving lesson has finished ( known as piggybacking ).

Being taught just to pass your driving test is no longer sufficient on today’s very busy roads, so Crown is geared towards teaching you all the skills that are required to pass the test and beyond. My aim is to produce good safe and considerate drivers who will go on and enjoy their driving long after they have passed the driving test. We offer a calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to learn. This allows people who may be very nervous to enjoy their lessons and pass their driving test. All pupils are taught at a pace that they are comfortable with, so you can see the progress achieved from a lesson. The duration of a driving lesson is totally up to the pupil. You can choose 1 ,1½ or 2 hours. Pupils can be picked up from a place of your convenience this could be college/work or home. Free help is also given if required, on taking the Theory test.

Crown School of Motoring is Pass Plus registered so once you’ve passed the driving test you can gain additional skills, which in many cases reduce your insurance premium.
